Is your child struggling? Are you struggling? Do you feel like you do not know what to do?

Welcome. Thank you for being here. Being a parent can bring you the greatest satisfaction and joy,...and it can also be what makes you most doubt yourself and second-guess yourself. Your child’s well-being means everything to you…you want to support your child and are looking for help. There is no parent manual out there that you can refer to and each child is unique. How to respond to,  and how to best support your child can be unclear…but one thing you are clear about is that you want your child to live a happy childhood and life.

You want to see your child’s face light up with joy (not fear) when he or she tries something new. You want your child to not give up easily when a task is challenging. You want your child to be less hard on him or herself…it breaks your  heart when you hear your child talk so negatively about him or herself, others, and/or the world.

You want to see your child have meaningful connections with others and be more flexible, cooperative, and adaptable with you, family members, and friends – No one (including your child), likes it when your child has a meltdown and he or she explodes in anger and rage…temper tantrums that you find often lead to  him or her having a negative attitude or being overly difficult  or sulking for the rest of the day.

You want to repair and/or strengthen you and your child’s relationship.

You want to strengthen and grow the  emotional connection, and bond  between you and your child– you want the conflict and power struggles happening now between you and your child to end, because the emotional roller coaster of anger, frustration, sadness, and guilt has gone on too long– everyone…you, your family, and your child are exhausted and drained. You want the cycle to stop and there is this part of you that knows that it does not have to be this way..

You want to  learn how to support your child now, but you also want guidance on how you can continue to support your child, and help build your child’s coping skills and resilience so that he or she can continue to  tackle future life challenges…long after therapy ends. You want to enjoy your child again and you want your child to live a happier life. You want lasting change for you, your child, and your family.

In our work we can discover ways to  identify what your child needs.  We can with compassion and nonjudgement work together to better understand your child, and better understand yourself - because parenting occurs within the parent-child relationship. Our work together can  help relieve some of the anxieties  and worries you face in your role as a parent. You deserve to get the support that will make you feel secure in your relationship with your child. You deserve to feel that confidence as a parent.

The truth of the matter is this… your child just needs one thing- a calm and confident you. When you are secure and regulated, your child will be too.

A child thrives and is happiest when he or she feels understood, connected, accepted and protected by at least one person. I want to help you be that person and grow that connection between you and your child. I want to help you feel more confident that  your child has what he or she needs to live a happy, secure life.

I can help you work with your child to overcome:
